Booodl

Booodl Find the right store. It all started in 2012. And thus booodl was born. By 2013, it was the heady days of social media hype and the team at booodl got hyped!

One of our Co-Founders (a recent first-time father) had forgotten to buy a USB cable at Westfield in Bondi Junction for the 2nd weekend in a row. His wife needed the cable to watch DVDs whilst looking after their newborn and rightfully expressed her displeasure. This highlighted a paint point for said Co-Founder and got him thinking - how do you help people remember to buy the things they need when they are shopping? An app that reminded you when stores that sold what you needed were nearby had evolved into a social network that let you share the products you owned and loved with your community. It seemed like a great idea at the time but by late 2014 it had become apparent there was not much space left to fill between Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Moreover, the team had started to lose its passion for the social media for things. So, we decided to go back to our roots and really understand the problem that we had first set out to solve. Today, we deeply understand this pain and how to solve it. If you think about it, there is no consistently great way to search online for the physical stores or shopping centres that sell the brands or types of products that you love. Not even Google is very useful for these kinds of searches. So we built a mobile and web platform that helps people to find the right store. Give it a go - try searching for a brand in a suburb and add the word booodl in Google (i.e. Glenfiddich Coogee booodl). We started building this version of booodl in February 2016 and our business has been growing rapidly ever since! So far we've helped around 150,000 people find stores, who have made 34,556 purchases between them. This means that booodl has influenced roughly $1.4 million AUD of in-store transactions. Hooray! Whether you're a shopper, a retailer or a shopping centre owner we'd love to hear from you! Email us at [email protected]. We hope everyone’s having a great weekend!

Introducing the booodl page 2.0 - your own little weapon for quickly finding stores that sell what you need.

Ever thought "Where can I find a store selling nudie jeans near my work?" (...or something similar).

So how does this handy little thing work?

Simply message us the following information:

1. What you are looking for - store name, retailer, brand or product i.e. Nudie Jeans or Apple.

2. Where you are looking for it - suburb and state within Australia i.e. South Yarra, Victoria.

3. Any other relevant information i.e. I want to use a payment method like Once Card, Afterpay or Amex. I would prefer the store to be in a shopping centre.

We will then send you a link with nearby stores. Check out our picture example :)

Give it a go and send us a message!

It's official: Amazon has finally confirmed its Australian launch. According to recent research from Nielsen, 75% of Australians aged over 18 say they are interested in Amazon Australia and 56 per cent are likely to purchase from its site. In order to compete against the online giant, bricks-and-mortar retailers need to innovate and recreate the convenient, seamless experience Amazon offers to its customers. A key element of this is discoverability - retailers need to make it as easy as possible for target shoppers to find the right store near them. Booodl can help with Store Discovery Optimisation - get in touch with us today to get started.

Booodl helps increase shopper visits and sales by making sure the right shopper finds your store.
