The real bitter pill is this:

Bad varroa advice doesn’t just hurt one beekeeper — it hurts every beekeeper around them. 🐝

Telling people to “step back” from their hives and let nature sort it out might sound clever online, but in the real world unmanaged colonies become mite bombs, spreading varroa and viruses into neighbouring hives. 🧨

Yes, survivor genetics matter.
Yes, resistant bees matter.
Yes, we should breed from strong, hygienic colonies.

But abandoning colonies and calling it evolution is not a plan. It’s negligence dressed up as philosophy.

Having a huge following comes with responsibility. Using it to push half-baked clickbait that risks people’s hives, livelihoods, queen breeders, pollination, and honey production is pathetic.

Monitor your mites.
Know your thresholds.
Use integrated pest management.
Breed better bees.
Don’t gamble with everyone else’s. 🐝🔥

The challenges facing commercial beekeepers aren't coming. They're already here.

We don't want sympathy. We simply want Australians to understand what's happening and why it matters.
