This is what fishing dreams are made of. 🔥🎣

landed this Black Bass in the Solomon Islands on an 80mm Mudeye… a lure that was never actually designed for Black Bass.

Anyone who knows these fish knows just how special this catch really is. Solomon Islands Black Bass are one of the toughest, hardest pulling fish you can hook in the jungle. They live deep in nasty structure and destroy weak gear for fun.
To see a small timber diver not only get eaten by one, but survive the fight and land the fish, is something pretty special.
Fish of a lifetime, an unforgettable moment, and proof that the little 80mm Mudeye can handle way more than we ever intended. 👊

The Manilla Hatchery was broken into and has unfortunately had some very valuable equipment stolen. Relying on donations for the hatchery to run they aren't able to easily replace the equipment needed to continue operating. Get onto the go fund me page and support the hatchery and our local waterways for the future!. Once these setups close down they very rarely get the funding to kick off again.

A little bit of insulation going up in the new Mudeye HQ's cutting room!. I ended up one bag of insulation short so more to go tomorrow and a ceiling and we will be back underway with production!. Venison backstraps from yesterday's hunt for dinner. Cracking day! Cheers 🍻

A great morning spent out in the hills with . In the last 10 years fishing has completely taken over my spare time and has become my main hobby, but walking the hills chasing goats and pigs is where my love for the outdoors really started. I don't get out hunting as often as I'd like nowadays but the passion is still there and when I do make it out i bloody enjoy it. Congratulations mate on your first deer, plenty of meat for the freezer. How good is the bush!. Cheers 🍻

Swapped over to the Popeye and the first cast along the timber got absolutely SMOKED. 🔥🎣
That’s why we fish handmade lures. The reward and satisfaction of landing a quality fish on a handmade lure can't be replicated.

If I could only run one lure forever, this would be it. Super versatile, perfect size, and casts like a dream on any gear.

I would like to thank everyone that has supported the business this year and got amongst the lures, seeing those pictures come through from customers with fish they have caught on my lures is why I do it! 😃
Can't wait to do it all over again next year!. Making lures has been the most rewarding thing I've done and I wouldn't be able to do it without you legends.

A long term goal for me has been to land a fish of this calibre from this particular river system. Yesterday everything came together. Watching the 100mm Popeye get nailed as I was retrieving it beside a weedbed was incredible to witness. A very dark coloured fish and one that I won't ever forget. I jumped in the drink and took a quick picture, i prefer not to mess with them too much through the summer months especially when the surface temps are high. Ticking off personal goals and enjoying your time out on the river is what it's all about.🔥🎣
