THE OCTOBER LONG WEEKEND IS ABOUT TO GET LOUD.

From 2–5 October Barossa Sessions turns it up for four huge days of live music, DJs, bands, long lunches, w**ery lawn sessions, cellar door parties, brewery gigs, great food, local w**e, b**r and family-friendly sessions across the Barossa.

Start your day on a picnic rug with the family, spend the afternoon on a w**ery lawn, book in for a long lunch, catch a live band at a cellar door, then follow the music into the night.

There’s something happening from Friday right through to Monday, with venues across the region getting involved and plenty of reasons to make a whole long weekend of it.

Most sessions are FREE, alongside a handful of special ticketed experiences. Bookings are filling fast, so if there’s something you’ve got your eye on, now’s the time to lock it in.

Four days. One long weekend. A whole lot happening across the Barossa.

IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD with Fernfield Wines 🍷

Hidden among the rolling hills of Eden Valley, Bec and Scott Barr love introducing visitors to their home and w**ery in the serene high country of the Barossa.

Since taking over Fernfield Wines 12 years ago, the husband-and-wife team have focused on adding value to the cellar door, vineyards and w**es that hero the Eden Valley terroir.

“We don’t do food or events – we do w**e,” says Bec. “We tend to focus on w**e enthusiasts – people interested in coming off the beaten track or looking for something a bit different, something new to them.

“We love to tell them about something they’ve not heard of and have a yarn at the cellar door.”

✨ Exciting changes are coming to Tanunda!

Properties at 72 and 74 Murray Street are set to be redeveloped into Tanunda Central Market – a new food, retail and hospitality destination in the heart of town.
🍽 🍷👛

Plans include a tree-lined pedestrian space linking the two buildings, creating a welcoming area for visitors, outdoor trading and market stalls.

Designed to complement the surrounding heritage streetscape, the development is expected to bring more activity, visitors and vibrancy to Murray Street while supporting local businesses. 🛍👜

Stay tuned for the return of Beans and Cream to the site in 2027, plus bespoke new offerings. 🍦☕

IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD with Hive Barossa Cafe and Canteen Barossa ☕

After carving a unique place in Angaston’s hospitality scene, Marlo Grocke – the name behind popular cafe Hive – is bringing her signature dishes, warmth and Barossa hospitality to a brand-new space.

Canteen Barossa is a reimagined café and retail offering at Marananga School and takes its cues from the old schoolhouse, retaining original features like the blackboard, classroom 'sitting circle' and timber school desks.

Marlo says Hive and Canteen Barossa share many synergies. “The thing we love so much about Hive is that sense of community – we are so close to our customers and share so much with our community through that space, and we’re already starting to build those connections with the Western side of the Valley at Canteen.
“It just brings us a lot of joy.”
