🎉 20 YEARS AT HAYMANS MAITLAND! 🎉
Today we’re celebrating a pretty incredible milestone. Cameron has officially hit 20 years at Haymans Maitland!
It all started with a job that was only supposed to last 2 months. A way to get out of Sydney, thanks to his brother getting him through the door.
20 years later, he’s still walking through that same door every day.
To say the last 20 years have been easy would be an understatement.
From manager changes, to helping run the business without a manager, to taking on the Manager role in 2012 at just 25 years old.
At 25, he suddenly had the responsibility of running the business, leading a team and figuring out everything that comes with being the person everyone looks to when something goes wrong.
He’s seen plenty of changes in the electrical wholesale industry over those 20 years. Staff have come and gone, the industry has changed, systems have changed, customers have grown their own businesses and Haymans Maitland has continued to grow right alongside them. There have been early mornings, late afternoons, tough years, great years, plenty of pressure and probably more than a few days where walking back out that door would have been the easier option 😂
But he kept turning up.
And if you asked Cameron now what has kept him there for 20 years, we reckon he’d say the people.
The staff who have worked beside him, the customers who have supported Haymans Maitland, the suppliers who have backed them and the friendships that have been built along the way.
Some customers who walked through the doors when Cam was the young 25-year-old manager are still walking through those doors today.
From a 2-month job, to Manager at 25, and now 20 years at Haymans Maitland.
That’s something worth celebrating. 💙
