To the blokes who can fix almost anything with fencing wire, cable ties and a few carefully chosen swear words
The dads who reckon they don’t need instructions, don’t need directions and definitely don’t need anyone telling them how to cook the BBQ.
The ones who’ll drive 500km without a second thought, but complain when someone asks them to go to the shops.
And of course, the dads who say
“Were you born in a bloody tent”
“Turn the light off.”
“Don’t touch anything.”
“Back in my day”
and the ever reliable
“Ask your mother.”
The ones who somehow manage to fall asleep in the chair five minutes after putting a movie on.
But underneath all the dad jokes there are some bloody good people who look after their families, help their mates and make our little Tennant Creek community what it is.
Most importantly, today is about celebrating the great men in our families and our community who lend a hand, have a laugh and are always there when it counts.
