The nursery is open today and tomorrow, we had planned on having all new stock but due to the flooding we have only had 1 delivery. These will be available today with photos to come. And we are a man down so please be patient with Megan as she navigates her way around the plants 🫣🤭, hoping i will be back to it tomorrow.. and Go the Thargo Bulls, good luck today for your very first game after 24yrs!!!

I have discovered these little deadsh*ts like to camp out on the shade cloth. So a can of bug spray realy does the trick. Hit em high hit em low hit em with the old pea beau. I wont beat them but it might slow them down........maybe. 🙄

🌿 Get Rooted – Temporary Closure 🌿

Due to the extreme heat and the current pumpkin beetle infestation affecting our town, we’ve made the decision to delay the opening of the nursery and coffee van until 07/03/26.
**There is an event booked here on the 6th March we hope to see you there**

We know this is disappointing, but protecting our plants—and yours—comes first.

🐞 Tips to help combat pumpkin beetles:

• Use Eco Oil spray
• Spread wood ash around the base of plants
• Rake the soil in garden beds and pots to disrupt their breeding cycle
• Squish them (very satisfying)
• DIY bug spray: Mix 1½ teaspoons of mild soap (e.g. Dawn or Earth Choice) with 1 quart of water. Spray infected areas daily until you see improvement.

At this stage, no new plants will be brought in until the infestation has eased. We’ve already lost too many plants and don’t want to risk selling anything that may not thrive—or cause you heartbreak too 💔🌱

💧 Heat reminder:

Water early in the morning or at night (and please follow Bulloo Shire Council water guidelines), and keep an eye out for those beetles… they bite 😬
