The humble cube shelves served us well… but we officially outgrew them 😅

So here we are, setting up a proper little storeroom for Tasteful Play Studio — just in time for the website launch 👀

It’s one of those small-business moments that feels a little bigger than it probably looks from the outside 🥹

More stock, more space, less chaos… hopefully 😂

Sometimes the content is… crickets. 🦗

Because some days I’ve poured everything into being a mum, running a business, packing orders, planning markets, replying to messages… and by the end of it, I’ve got absolutely nothing left for “content”.

And honestly, sometimes I resent that social media makes small businesses feel like we have to keep showing up, keep posting and keep feeding the algorithm just to be seen.

Tonight, I’d rather put my phone down, cuddle my bubba and listen to the actual crickets outside my window.

So this is me showing up… without really showing up. 😂

I really do appreciate that all we can hear is crickets though! 🥰

A little behind-the-scenes of what my evenings look like lately! Social media has taken a back seat as I have been juggling new packaging, recreating labels, and getting ready for launch!

Market days, making, packing, mum life… and then once the house is quiet, it’s admin time 😅

Slowly bringing Tasteful Play Studio online, one little piece at a time.

There’s still plenty to tweak, add and perfect — but seeing it all start to come together is pretty exciting 🥹

A quiet little moment of appreciation in between the bustle of Father’s Day Markets 🥹

This was my view for just a moment — but throughout the day it was filled with little hands reaching into trays, kids stopping to play, families chatting, laughter, stories, and curious explorers deciding which mix was coming home with them.

One of my favourite parts of markets is getting to actually see the play happen — watching kids scoop, pour, explore and get completely absorbed in something I’ve created.

I love learning about your families, hearing your stories, and seeing parents relax a little as their young ones dig in to the play trays there and then.

The quiet moments are lovely… but the busy, messy, playful ones are pretty special too. ☀️

Very grateful this gets to be my view. Thank you for supporting me. For supporting us. For supporting this dream. 🫶🏼

🐾 We’re heading to the Pet Expo tomorrow! 🐾

Come and find Tasteful Play Studio at the Rockhampton Regional Council’s Pet Expo for a fun, family-friendly day out!

📍 Robert Schwarten Pavilion, Rockhampton Showgrounds
📅 Saturday 5 September
⏰ 9am–2pm
🐕 Dogs welcome on lead

There’ll be market stalls, kids activities, demonstrations, the Dashi Dash, dog high jump, adopt-a-pet, competitions, a petting zoo, food + loads more!

Pop by, say hello and have a browse — we’d love to see some familiar faces (and meet your furry ones too!) 🐶 🐱

Unfortunately, I’m unwell and not in a position to attend our upcoming workshop tomorrow as planned.

As a mum and small business owner, sometimes health just has to come first. I’m really hoping we can reschedule and create together very soon.
