Here is the best tip or advice I can give for someone wanting to fish!😉
Anyone who remotely calls themselves a fisherman or Fisherwoman knows that when we say "Last Cast" we all know it doesnt actually mean last cast. In fact there is an invisible silent "s" on the end that makes the word Cast, plural not singular much the same as the Cast in a movie📽. They are not talking about a single actor or actress, they are talking about many and the same goes for fishing
Here is a perfect example of why when you say "Last cast" to yourself, make sure you mentally ad that little s on the end because it can make all the difference to the outcome of the day.
I headed out in our local river with high hopes of picking up a Mulloway or 2 but the fish 🐟had a different idea💡. Having only picked up one small flathead and a decent tailor for pretty much most of the morning I decided to call it stumps and head back to the ramp and thought i'd have a "Last cast" at the bridge🌉 which I had already stopped at on the way down river where there were 2 boats🛥 there already that hadn't got a touch. After a few casts I felt a bump, then the next cast felt a bump also. Thinking to myself they felt like jewie bumps, the next cast came up tight to this standard ( local river) 60cm model Mulloway using Our Paddletail🏓 in "Orc Blood"👹 which gave me hope for the rest of my "last cast". A few casts later I changed lure to our 2.5" Grub🐛 in "Deep Purple"🤘🏻 colour🎨 and soon after came up tight again, this time to this solid Flathead going 69cm. If it wasn't for having a few extra casts i would not have got these fish!
So next time if your wife🙍♀️ or husband🙎♂️ is telling you that's enough or you have to be somewhere, just say Ironbark said, Last cast means many🤙🏻
