Here at Aisle Five Bricks we take our LEGO pretty seriously.

And we've been a fan of LEGO for a really long time. That has meant that we have quite the collection and have built some really amazing things including this Theme Park!

But, the absolute favourite in the collection is the LEGO Caribbean Clipper set number 6274.

The reason this is my favourite is because this is a set that I had as a child and I really loved to imagine sailing the seas and battling pirates. This set really brings back some great memories for me of growing up and how much LEGO was a part of my life from an early age.

This set really encouraged my love of LEGO. It continued to inspire me to create some amazing builds into adulthood!

Lego fun fact time!

Did you know that During the Christmas season almost 28 LEGO sets are sold each second. Yikes! That's a lot of LEGO and a lot of happy kid (or big kids) having a happy Christmas building and adding new pieces to their collections!

This makes us suuuuuper happy as we love LEGO and that's why we do what we do!

Here's some Christmas advice from us to you.

Let's talk for a moment about how to create a great experience at your Christmas table this year. Below are some tips and tricks to bringing your table to life and ensuring it not only looks great but is also a space where the family wants to hang out for a while and spend that quality time together.

🎄 Have a colour theme! Personally, we love red, green and yellow.. and its totally not because this is the colour of our Christmas crackers 😂

🎄 Layering your Christmas table is key. Choose a base colour for your table cloth, then use this to layer up the rest of your decorations. You can even layer your dinning setting for a great effect

🎄 Have a great centrepiece - you could even make one yourself! This could be a fun activity when you're preparing for Christmas.

🎄 Let the glasses sparkle and shine. Usually a Christmas table would include a nestle of a champaign glass, wine glass and a water glass.

🎄 Add some fancy, folded napkins, these could be Christmas themed or in line with your overall colour theme.

🎄 Have a CRACKING Christmas cracker with something that your guests can take home with them! Crackers are super fun and engaging. They'll be a massive hit at your table.

Ever wondered while you're enjoying sharing that moment with your family or friends, when the Christmas cracker goes 'bang' and all the goodies fall out.... how do they get all these elements into the cracker and make it exciting!

Well, here's a little video of how we do it at Aisle Five Bricks to curb your curiosity!

All our crackers are handmade... and getting these to go 'bang' is the best part of putting them together. Knowing that once that big bang happens, all the wonderful LEGO elements are going to come out. We love how fun it is going to be for you to put your piece together and that makes it that much more exciting for us when constructing these bad boys!

The name “LEGO” comes from the Danish word “leg godt,” which means “play well.”

And who wouldn't want to play well at the dinner table at Christmas! Agreed?

Why do I think LEGO belongs in a Christmas Cracker.

Well the question really is, why not!

LEGO brings people together. Afterall, Christmas is where we get together with family and friends, share a laugh, eat too much and really appreciate the connection with our loved ones.

When I think about being with my family at the Christmas table, having something interactive that everyone can enjoy, like LEGO, gives me a sense of joy and happiness. And I know that anyone that includes these crackers in their Christmas this year will feel the same.

You can build the pieces with your family members and it’s something that you can take home with you for your kids (or adults) LEGO collection, or place somewhere special as a reminder of the great time you had building that LEGO piece together.

Bottom line, LEGO has brought me so much joy and I really just wanted to share this with others! That's why LEGO belongs in a Christmas cracker.
