During this period, there was only a meager selection of consumables available for the gluten free market. It was then that I decided to take on a challenge of experimenting with food, to provide a more suitable range of delicious food for my family and I to enjoy. As I have always had a passion for cooking, I decided to take it to the next level and started to produce in bulk quantities. At which
point, my large walk in kitchen pantry would be completely over filled with my products, to which I started to attend local country markets to sell them. As I was regularly attending markets within the Mirboo North region, I was then invited to have my stall in the regions of Warrigal, Morwell and Tarwin Lower country markets. As all my products are Wheat, Gluten and Dairy free, I had managed to obtain a stall at the “Gluten Free Expo” in Melbourne in the year of 2005. With these invitations taking place, I decided to enter into the country market competitions. Some of which, were the “Wonthaggi Agricultural Show”, with winning prices ranging from 1st – 3rd. After this result, I entered my Worcestershire Sauce into the “Royal Melbourne Show” and was awarded, “Very Highly Commended”. In 2014, I then entered a variety of my products into the “Deniliquin Agricultural Show” and was awarded 1st on every product entered. As my Worcestershire Sauce is strained through double muslin, it was approved by the Coeliac Society to be safe for people with Fructose Malabsorption to consume, as there is NO partial of either onion or apple left in the final product.
