A couple of weeks ago I went into the city to catch up with some amazing people that I craft with

I caught the Metro in, which I love and read the latest Sally Hepworth "Mad Mabel" which was such a great book

I got into the city a bit early and went for a walk around Darling Square, which is where we were meeting

When I found the lovely ladies I sat down and continued to sew together the blanket that my late cousin asked me to make for her

I love hanging out with like minded people and just chatting about all sorts of things

While away on holidays in January, our first time camping with no kids and we were in a caravan, I realised I hadn't taken any pegs with us

We bought a bag of pegs but then I didn't have a bag to put them in, so after finishing a crochet project I had taken with me, I made a little peg bag from the leftover yarn

It hangs perfectly from the camping clothes line we have

🧵🪡🧶THE 1ST WEEK BACK AT WORK🧶🪡🧵

I may have gone back to my full-time job last week but my biggest job was cleaning out the office and moving ALL of my fabric, wool and sewing table into the office!

I started on Sunday 4 January and it was finished Sunday 11 January.

It was a massive job but I set myself goals for at the end of each day, after I got home for work and it now looks amazing and it is my space with all my stuff in places I can find it.

I am still going through a few boxes as I have collected knitting needles, crochet hooks and other such tools over the years and I'm sure I don't need 15 of the same sized crochet hook!

What do you think? Do you want to come and work with me in my new space?

Would you give one of these cuties as a present?

This cute little cactus mug was made using the pattern I downloaded from Craftsy by Amy Gaines.

It was easy and quite quick to make.

You can use a pot for the holder but we have so many unused mugs in our cupboards I thought that would be a great way to recycle them.

Congratulation on making it to the end of my 50 days to FIFTY!!!

We made it and I am now 50!!!

I am spending the morning in a float tank at City Cave in Bella Vista, thanks to the gorgeous Frances.

I will then be watching the girls play softball.

And then we will be attending Dave and Kieren's work Christmas party at Nick and Nora's in Parramatta!!!

When Rhianna was 4 months old I felt I needed to do something new so went back to Tafe and spent 2 years studying Event Management.

This also involved event decorating which, as you can imagine, suited my design and creative mind.

I ended up working for several event decorating companies and had a wonderful time creating beautiful events both small and large. There were late nights and early mornings but it was so much fun.

🧵🧶🪡CIVIL DRAUGHTING🪡🧶🧵

After the year I spent at UNE I started a traineeship as a civil designer for SMEC in North Sydney. That meant moving my whole life from the country to the city. For a country girl that was never going to live in the city I took to it very quickly.

I went to Tafe in Ultimo, studying Civil Engineering, and lived in Artarmon for a couple of years, learning how to design and draught civil works all over Sydney and NSW. I worked on the tender for Olympic Park, which is one of the most memorable jobs I have worked on.

After marrying Kieren's Dad and having Kieren I needed to go back to work and started work at BMD. Where I met Dave and made some wonderful friends.

I left BMD to have Rhianna.
