Bird first aid cupboard looking a bit… hopes and prayers?
With bird health on everyone’s mind lately, and breeding season creeping closer, it’s a good time to check what you actually have on hand before your bird decides to be dramatic at 8:47pm on a Sunday.
A few handy bird care staples worth knowing about:
🩺 Vetafarm First Aid
Emergency nutrition support for sick, stressed or recovering birds while you organise proper care.
🦠 Probiotic / Synbiotic
Useful after stress, diet changes, transport, breeding, or general gut support. Basically: tiny gut helpers doing tiny gut helper things.
💧 Multivitamins / Soluvite D
Extra nutritional support when birds need a boost, especially during stressful periods, moulting or breeding season.
🪲 Parasite control products
For mites, lice and other unwanted freeloaders. Because some guests simply were not invited.
🧴 Treatment products like Sulfa3
Available in store, but best used with proper advice if your bird is unwell or showing symptoms.
