Retail Assistant – SPAR Express Middle Ridge, Toowoomba

SPAR Express Middle Ridge is looking for an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our fast-paced convenience store team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing exceptional customer service, enjoys working in a busy environment, and is willing to learn all aspects of our business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Customer service and cashier duties
• Deli and takeaway food preparation
• Fresh food merchandising
• Stock replenishment and rotation
• Maintaining store presentation and cleanliness
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members

As we specialise in South African products, you’ll need to be eager to learn about our unique product range.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous retail or customer service experience
• Deliver outstanding customer service
• Be confident working both independently and as part of a team
• Be reliable, honest and trustworthy
• Be physically capable of lifting heavy boxes and working on your feet throughout the day
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Be flexible to work between 6:00 am and 7:30 pm
• Be available to work at least one weekend shift each week
• Be willing to work additional shifts at short notice when required
• Be able to provide a current Police Check (or be willing to obtain one)
