Who inspires you?

For me it is this majestic, wild, and one of a kind woman - my grandma, Deidre (or GiGi). She is the inspiration for me to play, repurpose and sell vintage clothing. From a young age GiGi took me to op shops, garage sales, and tip shops to treasure hunt. You name it, we found it 🩷, and if we couldn’t find it, Grandma helped me make it. We’d make collages together, sand back furniture that had been thrown away, and sometimes we’d even bake iced buns the size of an adults arm. And we did all of this while she was the bones (and muscle) of running a country pub.

My grandma, my Gigi, she inspires me everyday with her unassuming strength, the undying sparkle in her eyes, and her unforgettable wit. She’s as sharp as a tack, and never misses a beat - that’s why she always succeeds in a debate (or a game of cards I would wager) - even when no one’s looking, she is always looking.

My grandma is inspiring to me and has been since I could remember - and did I mention … her style is the BEST?
