Drawing inspiration from our Indian cultural and ancestry roots, we couldn't help but give our products an ethnic edge as well. We sell a wide range of handmade baby goods all inspired by a variety of things - centuries' old hand-block prints, vibrant colours, basket weaving, vegetabl

e dyes, just to name a few. All of our products are skilfully crafted by fair trade artisan groups in India, a nation renowned for its eclectic culture, rich heritage, and beautiful handicrafts.

Our little business wouldn't exist without these Sheesham wooden blocks, the very lifeblood of these generational craft forms. Our slow fashion concept is based entirely on block-printing where these beautifully carved wooden blocks are dipped in dyes and stamped onto the soft fabrics. The fabrics are then prepped for quilting.

Wowsers, who would have thought that we will go down to single digits in North Queensland. The nights have been freezing! Our Kalamkari quilts especially, are hand crafted keeping in mind how fluid the Australian seasons can be. Created with the right thickness of the cotton voile, the unique fibre structure regulates the skin temperature like an in-built thermostat!

Spills, spit ups, vomit, dog wee, cat wee - our dohars and quilts have seen and experienced them all! After 11 years, we are still going strong with them. Nothing that a wash and the sun cannot fix with the beautiful no-fuss cotton voile fabric....happy weekend folks!
