🤠Transparency and ensuring raffles are run for the right reasons is paramount to us.

✅We often get inbox messages “I can’t afford a car, can you run a raffle for me” or “I’m planning to climb Mount Everest to raise money for “x” cause- can I run a raffle so I can pay for my flights and expenses?” The answer to these questions are going to be a polite “no”.

📣Tickets In A Hat is here to help fundraise to benefit the community- not individuals. This is why we request those wanting to run raffles to provide the ABN/ACN and financial details of the beneficiary organisation- not an individual’s bank account or that of a general business.

Who is keen to do this with me? Very early days of considering how we will do this…

Tickets in a Hat is going to be supporting the event with a raffle including prizes we are donating but think we could even enter a team to participate. It’s a very small sacrifice compared to what our wounded heroes have done for us!!

From 1 October 2026, we’re making our pricing even simpler.

The price you see will be the price you pay.

We’re removing the separate 2.5% card payment fee for ticket buyers and moving to one simple, all-inclusive platform fee paid by the organisation running the raffle.

No card surcharge at checkout. No surprises.

Buy $10 worth of tickets? You pay $10.

Buy $50 worth of tickets? You pay $50.

It’s part of our commitment to keeping online fundraising simple, transparent and affordable.

At present we only allow raffles in QLD, NSW & TAS, with ticket sales allowed in those states & SA… 🤠
