Over the weekend, 188 of Australia's top players traveled to Adelaide for the Regional Championships for Magic: The Gathering. Five of our own Townsville players made the journey to fight it out for the RC trophy and a ticket to the Pro Tour. 🏆

We had some fantastic results for a couple of our Townsville players!

Ethan Taylor finished at a commendable 15th place on Selesnya Ouroboroid! ✨

Sam Beard, the owner and big dawg himself, finished 4th overall on Selesnya Ouroboroid!! 🎉🎉

He'll be heading to the Pro Tour in Amsterdam in July this year to fight it out for a ticket to the World Championship! 🥇

Sam also was lucky enough to play on stream twice over the two-day tournament. Here is a sneaky behind the scenes of one of his streamed games, which he unfortunately lost 😅

Format: Constructed - Modern
Season: Cycle 13 - Regional Championship in Sydney.
Rules Enforcement: Competitive
Deck Lists: Required (please have ready by 10am). Open deck list for top cut.
Entry: $30
Doors: 9:30am
Rounds: Swiss, based on participants, and top cut if numbers permit.
Prizes: Non-foil Ancient Stirrings for all participants, non-foil Sowing Mycospawn for Top 8, foil Sowing Mycospawn for 1st and 2nd each day, boosters, and 1st AND 2nd each day get invites to the Regional Championship!! That's FOUR tickets up for grabs!! 🤯
