Cheeseburger Meatballs and Potato Wedges Traybake 🍔🍔

This recipe is packed full of flavours making it tastes exactly like you are eating a cheeseburger!!

I’ve added some mushrooms for some veggie, but you can add any extra veggies or serve this with a salad 🥗

Give this recipe a try you won’t be disappointed.

Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad 🥗 was the perfect dinner for today’s hot weather.

The layered cooking of the pasta, eggs and chicken, and homemade Caesar Dressing all required hardly any hands on time.

This dish would be the perfect salad to share at a bbq with family and friends as it makes a lot.

Do you make your own birthday cakes? 🎂🍰🧁

Yesterday was my birthday and Mr 5 decided I needed to have a unicorn 🦄 cake, so a quick google search for an idea and we decided to make a cupcake pull apart cake.

I made the 30 second cupcakes from the recipe community, which really takes no time at all to make, add all your ingredients and mix for 30 seconds. This recipe made 30 cupcakes and the unicorn needed 24.

Then I made a double batch of the Buttercream icing and mixed into 3 colours and a batch of Chocolate Ganache (i used white chocolate instead of dark chocolate) both from Cookidoo.

I made the unicorn 🦄 head shape, covered in the ganache and let that set and then piped the buttercream icing to make the mane and decorate the extra cupcakes 🧁 and topped off with some sprinkles.

To pipe the 3 colours together I put each colour in a separate piping bag and then added the 3 together inside the MixShop piping bag and this created the 3 colours in one icing with very little mess.
Google also said that you could put the icing in a snap lock bag and cut the tip or glad wrap and then add to a piping bag if that’s easier for you.

Woodys ‘no butter’ butter chicken and Naan bread

This is a quick and delicious meal and a great Fakeaway option.

The butter chicken and rice took 40 minutes to cook and I made the naan dough earlier to give it plenty of time to prove.

I skipped adding the fresh chilli 🌶️ to make this more kid friendly and also I don’t like chillies and there was still plenty of flavour.

The Naan bread makes 10 pieces and is soft and fluffy and tastes so much better than the store brought stuff.

What made this meal a real winner was both the boys ate all of it with our complaining and said it was delicious.

Slow cooked Meatballs in Tomato Sauce!

Meatballs would have to be one of the most requested meals in our house with the kids absolutely loving them.

This recipe cooks the meatballs in the sauce and uses the peeler/ blade cover to stop the meatballs from being chopped up as they cook. It also uses the slow cooker function and lets the meatballs and sauce cook away for 3 hours.

As the recipe makes a lot of sauce, I used 1kg of mince instead of the 600grams it asks for, and made extra meatballs and increased the cooking time for an extra 30 minutes.

Have you tried making your own Bao Buns?

They are easier to make than what you would think, the most time consuming part is the two proves required.m

I used the Leftover Roast Bao Buns with Hoisin Sauce recipe on Cookidoo.

I may have forgotten to take photos of the process 🤦‍♀️, but here are the cooked bao buns with roast pork, coleslaw and bbq sauce. You can do your own fillings and sauces, what would you fill your bao buns
with?

Creamy Tomato and Salami Fettuccine

This is a great all in one bowl dish and for hidden veggies.

For the fussy eaters I substituted the fresh tomatoes for a tin of crushed tomatoes and you wouldn’t taste the difference in the flavour.
