Today we are stopping to celebrate a very special milestone—Happy 19th Birthday to Alex! 🥳🎉🎂

​Alex celebrated her big day today surrounded by close family and her nursery team, and we couldn’t be prouder to have her as part of our crew! 💚 She is a true inspiration across the business—always eager to learn, take on new skills, and throw herself into whatever needs doing. 🌱💪 Whether she is being an absolute gun on the registers 💳, greeting customers with her wonderful phone manner 📞😊, or simply brightening someone’s day because she genuinely loves a good chat 💬, Alex brings heart and warmth to everything she does. ✨

​As Sandra’s granddaughter and the daughter of our late, dearly missed Gayle Potter, Alex carries a very special legacy here. 🌸 She makes her family endlessly proud every single day, and we know without a doubt that her mum is looking down with that exact same pride at the incredible young woman she has become. 🤍🕊️

Today, we celebrate an absolute force of nature: the one and only Madame Sandra Potter! 🎉🎂

​To call Sandra a powerhouse doesn’t even begin to cover it. She’s well into her 80s, yet somehow works as many hours in a week as her age—and frankly, she blows every single one of us out of the water. Just this week, while the rest of us were catching our breath, Sandra was out in the nursery casually lugging 30kg+ potted trees, making sure our bare-root stock is tied down and prepped before the windy months hit.

​Sandra brings over 55 years of horticultural wisdom to the nursery every single day. Whether she’s helping a customer design their dream garden layout or sharing her deep passion for plants, her energy is unmatched. She’s also blessed with incredible patience... most of the time 😉—as proven last week when she expertly guided an energetic pack of 10-year-olds through the nursery, breaking down the wonders of plant growth without missing a beat.

​Beyond the nursery aisles, she is the ultimate rock. An amazingly resilient grandmother, Sandra has guided, steadied, and loved her grandkids through thick and thin.

​Sandra, you are an inspiration, a legend, and the beating heart of our nursery. Take a bow today—you’ve more than earned it!
