I'm sure you're all sorted for Bathurst tomorrow.
For those trendy racing fans, the club will be hosting a Fashions on the Field competition for the new autumn season. The sections being judged are Elegant Classic Lady, Most Contemporary Lady, Best Classic Dressed Man and Contemporary Best Man. Fashionistas need to consider that we have just entered autumn and the judging will follow those seasonal guidelines. So ladies, put away the straw hats and fascinators and start thinking closed in shoes, heavier fabrics with your dresses, felt, metal and leather hats or millinery, gloves and stockings. For the men, find your best 3-piece suit and felt hat or flat cap, and incorporate those beautiful autumn colours within your accessories (Tie, pocket squares, lapel pins and flowers are the key, maybe even something special that highlights your personality). Also, don’t forget it is St Patrick’s Day, so as an incentive to incorporate a little green into your outfit, the club will be selecting an additional best dressed man and lady who honour the tradition of St Patrick’s Day and go green!!
To late for tomorrow but here is a little inspiration for next time from Mellie & Me
