If you were to ask me, after all the projects I’ve worked on and some of the extraordinary homes I’ve seen across Australia and abroad, “What is the most beautiful bathroom you’ve ever seen?”

This is it.

Nearly three years since completing this incredible project, I still look at this room and think — it simply doesn’t look real.

Seven years in the making, this extraordinary home is a testament to the vision of the client and the incredible Iain Halliday.

To have e Moderno pieces featured throughout the home, including our Venetian glass chandelier within this remarkable bathroom, remains one of the greatest privileges of my career.

Everything about this space works — the blue, the brass, the proportions, the natural light, the view through that window, and the glass suspended above it all.

And this photograph? No AI. No rendering. No manipulation. It was captured years before AI imagery became what it is today. Just perfect natural light, a perfect moment and an extraordinary interior.

After everything I’ve seen, this remains, for me, the most beautiful bathroom I have ever seen.

Congratulations to the client, Iain Halliday and everyone involved in creating something truly exceptional. It was an honour for e Moderno to play a part in it.

There comes a point where the pain is so deep that you stop asking, "Why did this happen?" and start asking, "What do I do with it now?" I reached that point.

I trusted completely, gave everything I had, and watched people I never imagined could hurt me dismantle parts of who I was.

Not because I had wronged them, but because people fighting their own battles sometimes destroy the very people who loved them most.

When I became a reflection of truths they didn't want to face, I paid the price. It broke me. It humbled me. It left me sitting in the lowest place I'd ever known.

But I didn't run from it. I sat with it. I learned from it. I felt every ounce of it until the pain became understanding, and the understanding became purpose.

The greatest lesson wasn't learning to trust others less. It was learning to value myself more.

Every door we choose to walk through changes us. Some lead to heartbreak. Others lead to freedom. The only mistake is refusing to keep walking.

Your future begins on the other side.

Rebuilding yourself is much like restoring an old home. Some damage can be repaired, some beauty can be uncovered, but certain things will always remain as scars of what came before. And perhaps that's okay. Those scars don't define us—they remind us of what we've survived. In the end, what else is there to do? You accept the past for what it is, take the lessons it leaves behind, and keep moving forward, one step at a time.
