🌿 **Gold Coast Compassion Day is coming!** 🌿

On **Sunday 30 August 2026**, we invite you to join us at the **Mudgeeraba Showgrounds** for a free community celebration of compassion, kindness and our shared humanity.

Compassion Day is a chance to pause, reconnect and explore how compassion can enrich our lives, our relationships and our community. Whether you come for an hour or stay for the whole day, you’ll be warmly welcomed.

The day will include:

🧡 Talks and reflections
🧡 Meditation, yoga and qigong
🧡 An interfaith Q&A
🧡 Tibetan chanting and the Gyurme Monks
🧡 Poetry and kindness activities
🧡 Children’s activities
🧡 Pet blessings
🧡 A vegetarian lunch

At **5.30pm**, we’ll come together for an outdoor screening of *Wisdom of Happiness*, a deeply moving film featuring the Dalai Lama and his message of hope for our world.

We were lucky to attend and be the bookseller for a wonderful event organised by the No Guilt Book Club - An ‘In Conversation With Trent Dalton’.
It was an unforgettable evening spent with best selling Australian author Trent Dalton listening to stories behind his much loved books and his creative process.

The evening was also in support of RADFLY (Realise A Difference for Local Youth) a local volunteer lead charity.

We wish to pass on a heartfelt
thank you too Naomi Middlebrook, founder of the No Guilt Book Club for inviting us to be the bookseller and her support of our independent book store. And also to Trent Dalton for his entertaining insight into his creative process.

So super excited to be part of the Mudgeeraba Food and Art Trails Letterbox Love fun. See if you can spot these letterboxes around the Mudgeeraba Community and businesses and collect the local artist designed postcards inside.

The wonderful letterbox dropped off at Bookness was designed and made by the talented Jordan Khalaf at Kookaburra Art Studio.

A big thank you to Jordan, Kookaburra Art Studio and the Mudgeeraba Food and Art Trail Teams for supporting the local Mudgeeraba community.
