There was a bit of maintenance on our display hive yesterday.

We are really happy with how strong this hive is doing. It was very touch and go for a while. Mite numbers are low at the moment. However, constant maintenance is a must to keep the bees healthy.

You can see in the first photo some nice healthy broodcomb. Our young queen is settling in nicely & seems content.

Even though we didn't have any bees on display for the students, they had a great time trying honey, touching beeswax, and learning from Sandy how the bees make honey 🍯
