🧡 CLIVIA SEASON IS HERE 🧡
If you need colour in a shady spot, this is your plant.
Clivias are one of the toughest, most rewarding plants you can grow. They come from South Africa, love our winters, and flower right when the garden needs it most - July to September.
Gorgeous big, bright orange trumpet shaped flowers, and deep green strappy leaves. A real classic.
How to grow them like a pro:
Position: Full shade to dappled light is perfect. Under trees, along a shaded fence, on a covered patio. Avoid direct hot sun, it burns the leaves.
Soil: Well-drained is key. They hate wet feet. Enrich with compost and keep the mulch away from the crown.
Water: Water well when flowering, then let them dry a bit between waters in summer. Very drought tolerant once established.
Feed: Light liquid feed after flowering in spring, and again in early autumn. That's it.
Care: Leave them alone! They flower best when crowded and pot-bound. Only divide every 5+ years after flowering if you have to.
Long lived, evergreen, frost tolerant and virtually pest free.

Syzygium 'Resilience' is a beautiful selection of lilly pilly that not only looks stunning, but has also proved to have resilience to many of the pests that can affect other lilly pillies including Psylid.

Bronze coloured new growth which turns to glossy green, gives resilience all round colour, which is enhanced in Spring with white flowers and red berries, or prune regularly and it will not produce the flowers and berries.

Resilience is most commonly used as a screen or hedge, or as a plant or topiary specimen in your garden or large pot. It responds very well to pruning and thrives in a wide range of conditions. In stock now in a range of sizes from small through to advanced.

Persimmon's are back in stock.

Persimmon's are known as 'the fruit of the Gods' by the Greeks for very good reason.

Rich in both colour and flavour, the deep orange exterior seems to add to the fruits sweetness. The 'Fuyu' Persimmon produces fruit that is medium to large in size and possess layers of flavour, reminiscent of Pear, Peaches, Dates and Brown Sugar. Their texture varies from crisp and succulent when just ripe, to a tender and rather gelatinous texture as they mature. Fuyu is a non astringent Persimmon, meaning it can be eaten straight from the tree while crisp.

The Persimmon tree itself is one of the most beautiful of all fruiting trees. It is a small to medium size graceful tree with spectacular Autumn foliage, followed by highly decorative orange fruit, make it a standout in an ornamental garden or small orchard.

Will grow best in full sun in well drained soil and will benefit from plenty of compost/animal manure dug into the soil prior to planting.
