Getting ready for day 2 of the Silver City Quilters Inc exhibition in the amazing Broken Hill Trades Hall building . Open today from 10am -4pm.

I was cutting fabrics last night and will have a limited number of Jen Lollies and bonbon fabrics with me today, cause you can never have to many fabrics. The colours prints are amazing and make ‘coordinated scrappy’ work so well.

Show special 10 fat quarters for $55 and 10% off selected fat quarters bundles.

I also have the fresh delivery of finefrenchlinen Mas d’Ouvan chambrays and cottons - in Fat Quarters Bundles; 1 mtr and 1/2 mtr pieces. (these Fat Quarter bundles not included in the special) - they are gorgeous fabrics.

Dont forget the shop is closed this Sunday 4th October as I havent quite worked out how to be in two places at once.

Just a small reminder with changes to opening hours this October Long Weekend

First Up Thursday 1st October - Im very lucky to have the support of the SA Quilters and their members who ask me to be one of their shops and its my turn this coming Thursday night Di and I are attending this show and Im loving the theme for the night Yellow Yellow and more Yellow.

Im taking the EFTPOS machine with me - so it will be cash only in store on Friday 2nd October as Di is opening the shop and Sonia and I are heading to Broken Hill for the Silver City Quilters Inc Biannual Quilt Exhibition on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th from 10am -4pm

Lots of new stock arriving - still no space to put anything so more stock will go into the sale cart $10 per metre - this is below cost - a great bargain and way to help me clear the shelves for more fabrics.

There is something pretty wonderful about a Moda Jelly Roll. Actually this saturday is a national day to celebrate the Jelly Roll. This is an annual event for the 3rd Saturday of September each year.

Forty coordinating 2½” strips, neatly rolled and ready to go—and about a million possibilities for what they can become. Okay, maybe not a million, but judging by this group of quilts, we’re certainly working on it!
One of our favorite things about a Jelly Roll is seeing how differently each designer uses those same simple strips. They can become flowers, traditional blocks, bold geometrics, scrappy designs and everything in between. Whether you have a brand-new Jelly Roll calling your name or a few tucked away in your sewing room waiting for just the right project, we gathered some inspiration from our Moda designers and friends. Ask for Moda Jelly Rolls and patterns at your favorite quilt or speicalty store 

You will find this years free project patterns here - PS they have past years patterns as well and theyre not all quilts.

Isnt amazing since Moda introduced Jelly Rolls in 2007 how far we have come and the imagination that can be used in patterns and projects.

Some new arrivals Im loving the double aided Japanese Fabrics - they more of a textured fabrics, the sheep on linen are fun and Im excited to say that Fiona from Fine French Linen Australia is back in Australia and popping in next week to show me some fabrics and help me refill her fabrics.

Jen Kingwells latest range Gathered Lollies and Gathered Bonbons is also making its way and I hope to have them in stock next week.

Its been fun the last few weekends with many visitors into the shop for people who are travelling through - Ive met some lovely people and I thank all of you for coming into Nays Place.

Loving these customer projects - big thanks to the Sunday ladies and Morgan Quilting and Craft group have been busy making toiletry bags; santa sacks and a few charity quilts for . Very lucky to have a rep leave us with some out of season samples that we have been able to sew up as well as samples that get sent with fabric deliveries.

So many customer projects that have come in and I will have to share more than one post to show you all
