Just reminding all based on the notice put out on the 2nd August - Krome Rock & Rods postponement.
To our incredible Krome Rock N Rods Community,
It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we share some news we never imagined we would have to write.
After many months of planning, countless hours of hard work, and the support of so many amazing people, we have made the heartbreaking decision to postpone Krome Rock N Rods – The Rockin' Revival.
This has been one of the most difficult decisions we have ever had to make.
Unfortunately, a major sponsor who had committed significant financial support to the festival has had to withdraw due to the financial pressures many businesses are currently experiencing. Combined with the rising costs of delivering large-scale community events in today's economic climate, this has created a financial shortfall that we simply cannot ignore.
Rather than passing these unexpected costs on to our stall holders, food vendors, entertainers, car enthusiasts, families and the wider community through increased prices, reduced attractions or compromises to the overall experience, we have chosen to postpone the festival until we can deliver the event exactly as it was envisioned.
Krome Rock N Rods was never created to be "just another event."
It was built from a genuine passion for bringing people together to celebrate classic cars, rock 'n' roll, dancing, vintage fashion, great food, local businesses and, most importantly, community. Our vision has always been to create an affordable weekend where families could make memories, local businesses could thrive, musicians and performers could showcase their talents, and visitors could experience the warmth and hospitality of our region.
That vision has not changed.
What has changed are the financial realities that many businesses, event organisers and communities are facing. We believe it would be unfair to ask our supporters to carry those additional costs simply to make the event happen this year.
Instead, we are choosing patience over compromise.
We would much rather take the time to secure the support needed to deliver a festival that exceeds expectations than present an event that falls short of what our community deserves.
To every stall holder, food vendor, entertainer, volunteer, sponsor, supporter and every person who purchased a ticket thank you.
Thank you for believing in our vision.
Thank you for trusting us.
Thank you for standing beside us on this journey.
We understand many of you have already made preparations, ordered stock, organised travel, arranged accommodation and committed valuable time to be part of Krome Rock N Rods. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment this postponement will cause.
While we are devastated by this outcome, we remain incredibly proud of what Krome Rock N Rods represents. This festival was founded on community spirit, nostalgia, friendship and a love of preserving a culture that brings smiles to generations young and old. Those values are not going anywhere.
This is not goodbye.
This is not the end of Krome Rock N Rods.
This is simply a postponement a chance to regroup, rebuild, strengthen our partnerships and return with a festival that truly reflects everything we set out to achieve.
We remain committed to delivering an event that our community can be proud of one that is financially sustainable, accessible, affordable and worthy of the incredible support you have shown us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your understanding, your encouragement and your continued belief in what we are building together.
The chrome will shine again.
The music will play again.
The engines will roar again.
And when that day comes, we hope you'll be there with us to celebrate something truly special.
With sincere gratitude,
