Not only does the cost of operating a business due to compliance, energy, insurance and complex taxes on every tier of production, a government then puts crippling trade restrictions on a business and offers little explanation and no assistance. How much can society weather? We are one of many industries suffering with poor governance and questioning viability...

It's February, and we revert back to opening earlier and finishing later ... Monday to Friday 6.30am to 3.00pm, Saturday 9am till 12pm. Hopefully cooler weather is on the way.. Go the Knights in 2026 ( we have enough spoons in the cutlery drawer)

Walgett Newsagency Hunt Camp and Fish will be CLOSED over the whole of Australia Day Long Weekend. Newspapers will be available Saturday, Sunday and Monday at Inland Petroleum Service Station.
Will resume Firearm Safety Courses on Tuesday.

The recent kneejerk decisions made by those who some voted for has generated a feeling of mistrust and unease towards political parties and lawmakers in our region and across Australia. Our livelihoods and businesses, our farming viabilities, our freedoms, our sport, our outdoor pursuits, our meat harvesting, our hunting tourism, our ethical hunting with calibre specific, our enjoyment and comraderie have all been curtailed in a premeditated political act. It will be a long and strong fight for truth and justice. Happy New Year to All...

Walgett Hunt Camp Fish will be conducting firearm safety practical tests throughout January and beyond. Please Log on to "FIREARM SAFETY AND TRAINING" and complete the "PRE LICENCE QUALIFICATION COURSE" before phoning 0268 281074 to complete the Practical Section. If uncertain please phone for any clarification.... The safety course is a requirement to proceeding towards licence application. Safe shooting... Dave
