From Our Hearts — Thank You ❤️
Today is a very special — and rather emotional — day as we close the doors of Elizabeth Arcade Bookshop.
Before we say goodbye, we want to acknowledge and congratulate the original owners, Armand, Carole and Romesh, for the wonderful collection of books they created and for the many customers they welcomed and served over the years. They built something truly special — a place where people could browse, discover, share stories and, most importantly, enjoy their love of books.
Two years ago, we were fortunate enough to take over the bookshop and continue that story. Today, we are closing the doors simply because we are moving to a new home, and unfortunately, we can’t take the bookshop with us!
Over these two years, we have met so many wonderful people — fellow book lovers, regular customers, new faces and friends who have made running the shop such a pleasure.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past two years around Australia lia, and especially to those who have visited over the last month or so and helped us reduce the large collection of books.
It has been an absolute privilege to be part of the bookshop’s story. We hope that the books have found good homes and that the memories of Elizabeth Arcade Bookshop will stay with you for many years to come.
Thank you, Armand, Carole and Romesh, for creating something so special. And thank you to every single customer who helped make it what it was.
