Steps to ensure safe levels include:

Keeping your hearing aids in great condition is simple with a few good habits:

Regular cleaning — Wipe your hearing aids daily with a dry cloth or tissue. Use the brush which came with your hearing aid/s. This brush is specifically designed to clean your hearing aids. Removing earwax helps prevent temporary faults and keeps sound quality sharp.

Moisture protection — Avoid wearing your hearing aids in the shower, heavy rain, or anywhere they may get wet. If they’re exposed to moisture or high humidity, remove the batteries and place them in a dry‑storage kit. Never use a hair dryer or microwave to dry them.

Avoiding chemicals — Products like aftershave, hairspray, oils, and perfume can damage hearing aids. Take them out before applying and let the product fully dry before putting your hearing aids back on.

Temperature care — Keep your hearing aids away from extreme heat, such as leaving them in a hot car during summer.
