This is a choice no one should have to make, but for people like A’esha living in Yemen, it is a daily reality. Five years of conflict has left them at the centre of the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.

On top of war, disease, and hunger, coronavirus presents a deadly new threat. The fighting makes it harder for people to get the essentials they desperately need to protect themselves. And with weakened immunity, it’s estimated 1 in 4 Yemenis don’t survive Covid-19.

Millions of lives are at risk. Please take urgent action today — you can support our emergency appeal or join our call for an immediate global ceasefire here 👉 https://bit.ly/2OwJuHv

Virginia, from Mozambique, was at home when Cyclone Idai struck. “The house was shaking, actually moving,” she says. “The children were crying.”

The cyclone was just the start.

“We didn’t realize a flood was coming. But then we could hear people screaming help.”

The water came fast. Virginia’s family waded through deep floods for four hours to escape.

When they returned, their homes and crops were gone.

The hardest thing now says Virginia, is lack of food. But with help from Oxfam, she’s finding new ways to grow crops.

And even renewed flooding in January hasn’t curbed her determination.

All over the world, people living in poverty are still being hit hardest by the climate crisis. Be a – join the fight for climate justice today. 👇🏿👇🏾👇🏼

Learning to wash your hands properly can make a huge difference to your health and the health of those around you.

In 2017, 500 children and their families were displaced from Aleppo, Syria - later returning to find clean water was scarce.

Here is Sana, an amazing Oxfam volunteer who teaches children the importance of hand washing and how to conserve water so that there is enough for everyone.

The sudden and near-constant stream of news reports about COVID-19 can cause anyone to feel worried.

Get the FACTS; not the rumors and misinformation.
Facts can help to minimize fear.
