You may have heard Australia Post (as well as many other countries) are suspending postal parcel services to the USA. The reason? By executive order, President Trump has decreed that all packages going into the USA require tariffs to be pre-paid, no matter how small or low-value the package. Effective this Friday. One thing they apparently didn't think through was how exactly US Customs would collect the tariffs from the US recipient _before_ the package is sent, or how to validate that relevant tariffs had been paid on a package that arrives at the border. It's a joke. Meanwhile postal services around the world are scrambling to put systems in place to collect this tax from Americans, so they can resume parcel services. So until further notice, we can't ship to the USA. Once service resumes, American customers will have to pay 10% extra on top. So much winning.
