I'm coming back Illawarra!! After 6 months off from the retail store world.
I have been quietly working behind the scenes restructuring the business to make it economically possible to continue what I started when I was Just 18 now some 25 years later.
I am coming back with a different approach. A one man band (for now) with a much more focused approach. It won't be anywhere near the size of the last store in terms of floor space. HOWEVER, you would be surprised what you can fit in small spaces 😉 in other words... I will have a very similar range in alot of areas to what I had in the last store for the fishing side (atleast terminal tackle, lure and accessories wise) but it will be tucked in every possible nook and cranny from floor to ceiling. I found a way to fit a square block in a round hole some how 😆 More on that soon about how the shopping experience will be changing. I am still setting up and I will try do a video at some point on how that shopping experience will look. The focus is not on merchandising but how I can fit as much as possible and make it work in the space I now have.
Anyway... while the online businesses has continued the last 6 months, my new retail store will be open some time in the next few weeks. The location will be literally across the road from the former store, near the traffic lights.
Working on the sign design concepts... Now to find a decent sign writer.
