Now making hooks. These ones are for butchering but other styles could be wool bale hooks or a gaffer hook. Keep in mind these are made out of spring steel and may be susceptible to rust and will require proper care. Most sizes and styles are available as they are made to order. A couple of knives off the bench lately.
One is an all round butchering knife which an iron bark handle on it.
The other is a repurposed sheep shear with a stainless steel guard and an ebonised sheoak handle.
Both knives have been put to work straight away and are performing very well

Big slicer all finished up, leaf spring for the blade, osage orange for the handle with stainless steel pins. Handle is finished with tung oil. Osage orange is known as being a very strong material for tool handles and should be a long lasting handle for this knife.

Fresh out of the tempering cycles is this big slicer which is ready for finishing grinding and handle fitting , forged from a leaf spring which will make it strong and flexible and able to hold a sharp edge for a long time.

Hey everyone , it’s been a good while since I have posted on here due to life getting busy but there’s no time like the present to get back into it.
In saying that here is a super stiff boning knife I have finished recently and put to work, forged out of spring steel, it has a forged finish with shining bevels, a denim micarta handle with stainless steel pins.
I made the handle material myself with blue jeans and casting resin which makes a very hard wearing material that is aesthetically pleasing.
