I don't think I've had a photo of us milking the goats for a while. So here is Jasmine, she had twins so we don't get much from her at the moment. Our lovely Bessie with Jason and me with first time mum, Arrow! Sadly, we lost Beau this week. He was a strong big kid, bouncing around in the morning. In the afternoon he was limping and not really wanting food from mum. We tried to give him a bottle but he only took a little. The next morning he was cold. Maybe a snake. We've seen a few about. Even had a baby green or eastern brown gliding along our front balustrade this morning!
The bright side is Arrow has a ton of sweet milk for us. And she is becoming more comfortable with milking, especially when she has extra food with no competition. She is a very healthy girl and will be fine. Life on the farm has it's raw hard moments but we all learn to move on and embrace the next good day.

At Baffle Creek Community market till midday. Lovely morning to catch up grab a bacon and egg toasty, fruit and veg, plants, Bric-a-brac and of course my lovely goat milk soaps and lotions.
