Hi People.

Firstly, thankyou for staying on my page,and the continued support I have received.

I have had a massive break, while addressing my health and family commitments.

I am about to fire up Black Dog Lures again, and will be sure to keep you posted as I start.

Will be less is more this time around, using all my experience I previously gained, To try and make a finer, for detailed and efficient lure. I will also be culling the models down to around 3-5 Only as I try to improve overall quality.

Hi people.

Sorry, its been a long time between posts. I am very unwell, and probably at 1 of my lowest areas i have ever been with my health. I am happy to say that the next batch of shirts and jumpers are finished and on there way to me tomorrow. ETA is around 7-10 days.

I am still making lures for people, and taking some pics, just dont have the energy to continue to post and talk on here. I will be back very soon, and pic up where i left of a few months ago.

I also found this video while FB surfing, and felt appropriate to share it here.

Hi peeps,

Ok, after posting about the shirts and hoodies a few days ago, i had a few Pm's on people wanting to order them.

SO, im going to place another order asap. WIll place the order in 1 week, and will have them in approx 3 weeks.

Like last time, and due to the people who dont collect what they ordered, I am going to need to take a small deposit at time of order, with full balance being due, when they arrive to me, and before i post them out. Pick up is also available from Gulmarrad NSW 2463.

Shirts will be $58 delivered
Hoodies will be $70 Delivered.
Please note that sizes 3XL and above need to add an extra $10 to the cost.

Postage will be $9 for a T shirt, and $14 for a hoodie. Maximum post is $14 regardless of quantity.

If you buy both, you will recieve a free lure

I have inc a size chart, and its very close. basically, whatever size you have already in Australia, its identical to this chart.

Deposit required will be $20 per shirt, and $25 per hoodie.

I can accept paypal or bank deposit.

Please comment below if you would like to order, please also inc your quantity,size,style and colour. We have the 2 colours available, Blue and Pink.

Shirts are long sleeved with buttons and collar, hoodie has a pair of deep pockets on the front,with a drawstring hoodie.

Hi All.

Sorry very quiet of late. been very ill with this morphine withdrawal and depression is at a very low low, almost a dangerous low, but ill get through it. Not sure how i do, but i do.

I have wrapped up my lure making, think i mentioned it last post. Until we move anyway, then i have a nice shed to set up, and ill really get cranking on the lures. Still struggling learning to paint eyes. But i'm practicing most nights. Will open again in May.

I just finished these couple, and have a few more 90% done, just need a clear and hardware. Will get some pics up soon.
1 of this weeks lures was given to a sponsor and he snatched a small barra on it the next day. Thanx for the pic Mitch. Also recently got some pics of some of my wire through stick baits nailing some quality fish up of the reefs in NT. Good to know hey can handle the punishment of a regular basis. Thanx Shane.

Hope you are all doing well, and had a good easter. Ill continue to post bits and pieces until i move.

Hi Peeps.

How are you all. Well i hope. Big Hello to all the new viewers, noticed a fair few been jumping on lately, Hope you enjoy seeing some of my work as i learn how to make Timber Lures. Been going 2 years now and have some things worked out. recently went to painted eyes instead of stick on, This people, is an art in itself, and i am still getting fried egg eyes. Half of them look ok though. Just a matter of practice makes perfect.

I also, sadly, need to stop taking orders. Sorry to the few who had recently enquired, I'm happy to take an order, But will not be making any more custom lures until around May 1st. Sorry.

I will still have a few randoms up fo grabs from time to time.

I actually have a couple ready to go now, While juggling customer orders,i always try and make a few stock, and this go around, i knocked up my Flathead Mk3, with inc tail fins. Still have a great fossicking action, and i will be able to put a video up this week. I also have some large Cod hunters, painted in Cod colour. Have a brown Cod, and a couple of greens ready to go. these are serious lures, with strong hardward and connection points,starting with a 1 inch stainless screwed Alu bib, down to a 6H Ring and 4/0 trebs. Quite a big lure, great for trolling.

So, if your keen on a unique Flatty,Large cod lure, or wire through resin prawn, Flick me a PM.

Also have my little project, a full resin prawn, i reckon this thing will smash fish around breakwalls and white wash, and have a friend who will give it a beating for me. First one was screw eeys, but i'm making a set of 5 with full through wire. happy for people to take dibs on the remaining 4.

And the rest of the lures, have been sent to various parts of Australia ready to hit aussie natives and other species, as well as a couple of pics of my range of colours.

Next post, Ill pop in a basic DIY step by step of a hand made lure, I wont go into massive detail, as the interest isn't there, but for those who are, Will be enough info to assist. Im always happy to accept PM's if anyone needs some tips or hand.

Hi people.

Well, another weekend is upon us ?? Who is doing what ? any fishing ?? and one getting anew boat or car ? or any other cool thing happening for you this weekend.

I am struggling with life, depression and issues, recently had my right shoulder give out on me. had ultrasound and x ray, and have 4 problems inside, all degenerative. So, yeah, hard week again, but im pushing through. We all have our own stories to tell, and plenty worse off.

Ok, back to lures. I have a heap of pics, and have nearly finished my new colour chart,ready for my catalogue to go out to a few stores to simplify ordering. Orders have been thick and i have really struggled to keep up, i appreciate the support, and glad all feedback of my lures is positive. thankyou, keep it up.

I have also recently brought the gear to make my own polycarbonate Blade lure's. I'm considering rolling them into BDL with my timber lures ?? Thoughts on this ?? are you interested in seeing Poly blades being made ? does anyone wnat any customer colours made ?? let me know.

I am also considering making a free lure course, for any budding amateurs/beginners to have a go at making lures. I could make up a set number of kits,inc everything needed to make the lure. I could NOT supply paint,sealers or top coats though. But the lure could be made totally complete, and you could just use a few spray cans from supercheap to finish. I would also cover that for you.

Of course, I'm by no means a professional, nor have any accreditation to teach, But i will show you how i do it, and ways to simplify the process in my opinion. which is not always right LOL, but it gets me there.

Let me know if interested, as i'm always keen to help people, and it would give me a interest in between doing my own lures.

I could make up the kits,very cheap and post them out. once all recieved, could follow with step by step videos,pics and narrration. Would also be happy to take PM on any issues.

So, let me know, is it feasable ?? is there enough of you here to want to have a go ??

if interested, leave a comment, and let me know what style lure you would prefer, eg Cod lure, Flathead lure,bream lure, bass lure and so forth, majority count will rule.

I will also start to post more reguarly for you all,,on my own progress and work.
