You know it's going to be a good day when a pair of big boxes from arrive! New in store are Panda Polar Puff, a soft and glittery yarn, and Magnum 8 Ply, a staple of solid coloured yarn. Also we have new colourways of Cleckheaton Brushstrokes, a gorgeous hand-dyed 5 ply yarn.

That's right, it's late knowledge of a crochet workshop! Two weeks is plenty of time, right? 😅 Put together as part of the Why Not Winter In Wentworth campaign. All are welcome! The only stitches you need to know are chain stitch, slip stitch, and UK Treble/US Half crochet.

One session on the 18th of July and one on the 20th, both on the Virus Shawl and including afternoon tea catered by Lock 10 & Weir Restaurant. Please contact me either here or by email ([email protected]) for bookings.

Last-minute workshop this weekend!

Make a trinket basket from t-shirt yarn using simple crochet stitches. Saturday 25th, 1pm-3pm. $30/head, bring an 8-9mm crochet hook if you have one. Yarn provided.

Wow, what a year!

We spent last year finding our feet, and now we're ready to start running. There are several exciting projects in the works, and I hope that people will find something to enjoy.

WORKSHOPS

To start, beginning in February we will be doing more workshops. My goal is to do one per month, so please let me know if there's something you'd like to learn! Two of the projects currently under consideration are a granny-hexagon cardigan series to get ready for winter, and a bag made with T-shirt/spaghetti yarn. I'm also open to hosting workshops run by other people, so if you've considered teaching something before I'd love to work together.

COMMUNAL CRAFTING

Need to get out of the house but don't want to actually socialise too much? Come to the store and bring your projects! Available Thursday and Friday from 11am to 4pm for $10 per person. You can have access to tea/coffee/cold drinks/any snacks that folks bring to share, and can be blissfully cool with our lovely air conditioning. Ask for tips, show off what you've made, or just craft in peace.

KIDS STUFF

Need to keep the munchkins occupied during school holidays? We have several crafting options available! There are sticker-mosaics for the littlest, felt and glue for those who have their own ideas, pour-paints for the chaos-minded, and several beginner projects in needle and yarn work.

CLOTHES MENDING AND ALTERATIONS

Need simple clothing alterations or fixes? Bring it in and we'll have a look. Prices start at $20, and while I'm certainly no qualified tailor, I will try my best.

CRAFT BOXES

I've teased these before, but now I have access to more suppliers to make it more viable - I'm hoping to launch a craft box subscription this year with a small project per month.

A big thank you to all who have come through the shop in the last seven months. This is such an exciting project for me, and I have received so much support that I'm eternally grateful for. I hope to see many of you soon!

The latest prototypes, getting ready for tomorrow's twilight market!

Knitting Needle Roll, with tall and shorter pockets. Can fit 22 pairs of needles/sets of dpns, or more if you put multiple in one picket! Rolls closed and fastens with ribbon. $50 each (rolls for sale will have colour combos that are less eye-searing).

Needle Book is a roughly A6 sized fabric and felt booklet with ample storage for sewing needles and pins. Fits in handbag for easy transport. $20 each.

We're open till 8pm tomorrow night, so come and get some Christmas shopping done for the crafters in your life!

I'm planning on running a couple of crochet workshops in November, and wanted to gauge interest - first option is an angel ornament, second is a snowflake decoration. Each takes 1-2 hours to complete. Who's game?
