Hi everyone so it's that time of year again where we start renewing memberships to relevant clubs and associations..... Lately there has been a very disturbing social trend towards non-committal and very self-centered sport participation..... Here's the thing that you aren't actually realizing.... If local clubs and rallies become unviable we lose the grounds that means you have no where to have your non-committal sporting participation... You end up with a handful of privately owned venues that will price most clubs out of the equation of running events or even just having somewhere to go and ride.... So I'm asking all of you to have a very long hard think about where you want your sport to be in the next five to ten years because if we keep going at the current rate you won't have a sport the equation is that simple.... And before you give me the excuses of how busy you are.... Guess what.....IM BUSY TOO..... In fact EVERYONE on committees running clubs and events are just as busy as you some even more so...... So have a long hard thing about the next time your local club is doing something FOR YOU and how you are going to support them.... Equestrians used to be the toughest of the tough and would stick together through anything........ what happened?🦄
