A sophisticated noise gate that can tame a single pedal or an entire effects loop! The EHX Silencer’s three-control layout provides precise fine-tuning to fit your system, axe and playing style. Threshold adjusts how much level is required to open the noise gate and allow a signal to pass thru. Reduction regulated the degree to which the gated signal is reduced and is variable between -70dB and +4dB. Release controls how long the gate remains open after the signal drops below the Threshold. Release time is variable between 8ms and 4 seconds.
I/O includes ¼ inch Input, Output, Send and Return jacks. The footswitch selects whether The Silencer is engaged or in bypass mode; buffered bypass allows the effects loop to remain in your signal path when the gate is bypassed. A built-in AC jack accepts a standard power supply like the EHX 9.6DC unit (optional) and the pedal comes with a 9V battery.

Mad Professor Mighty Red Distortion
is a high-gain distortion pedal, which was modeled after the 80′s style compressed gain sounds. It is extremely easy (and a lot of fun) to play because its texture is adjusted to give clarity and definition also at heavy distortion. The gain range allows also low distortion sounds as well as stacking with other pedals, where an overdrive (preferably MP LGW) can pre-drive MRD for extreme and highly focused sounds. To get these gain levels with their impressive signal to noise ratio, we didn’t use any noise gate or expander. Instead, we used special amplifier techniques and extremely low noise amplifier stages, which result in a natural decay and a rather high current consumption for a distortion pedal in view of battery operation.

Mighty Red Distortion has that 80′s sound many have longed for but never found before at such low noise levels and versatility. The Presence control was designed to control the upper treble, but not to affect the upper midrange, so that you can get the exact treble you desire. You can master anything from fat warm singing distortion to screaming cutting leads with the MRD’s Presence control.

Harry Houdini once said that what the eyes see and the ears hear, the mind believes. Enter the MAGIC CITY DELAY, featuring onboard tap, three tap divisions, tap in / tap out functionality, and a price point that is (quite frankly) unheard of. This is no trick.
Dark, lush repeats are the name of the game. Controls include Repeats, Mix, Time, and Filter. Our unique Filter control can be used to alter the overall tone of the repeats, as well as filter in or out the tape-like artifacts produced at longer delay times. The 3-way Tap Division switch is used to toggle between Quarter, Dotted Eighth, or Eighth Note divisions.
To summarize: luscious, dark repeats; analog voicing; three tap divisions; soft touch, true-bypass switching; on-board tap tempo; and external tap in / tap out. All with a tiny, glorious footprint. Is this sorcery, you ask? Perhaps. Perhaps it is.
