International Day of the Midwife - 5 May 2022.

Yesterday was International Day of the Midwife (in true Mumma style I am posting a day late because, Mum life! You know what I mean!)

Midwifes are a special breed of person.

Someone who puts the needs and well-being of their Mummas and bubbas above all else.

Someone who is there for you in the lead up, for the big day and who holds your hand as you become a mum for the first time, or all over again.

My beautiful midwife who brought my little bear into this world holds a very special place in our hearts.

You were there for us at every step and held my trembling hand in the absence of my own Mumma who was so far away.

You made me feel calm and cared for. I truly believed that whatever happened, with you by my side, everything was going to be ok.

The best part about having you there as my midwife is that our journey will never come to an end. You have seen me at my best and worst. You are part of our family.

Sending love to all the beautiful midwifes, thank you for all that you do 💜

Finishing touches ✨

The part I love most about packing and sending out orders is adding all the finishing touches to your Mumma Bear Box before it goes out.

Lining up your goodies, straightening out the wrapping paper and tying the bow just right are the little things that make my heart sing.

I spend way too long on the perfect packaging, but I don’t care because it’s the one thing I can be sure will look nice (instead of the usual messy bun, toothpaste stains and peanut butter marked windows! 🤣)

Everything went so well with Granny and Grandad 🤣🤣🤣

Some unfortunate and funny moments to treasure and remind us all of the belly laughs and crossed leg howling we shared over the past month.

We miss you both so much already, but we are so so happy we got to spend a whole month side by side.

They say laughter is the best medicine, and I just can’t stop with these 🤣🤣🤣

Don’t get me wrong, I am super proud and privileged to be a doting Mumma, a cheeky Daughter and a loving Wife.

But, I am also proud to be me. I am someone too without all of those titles, as are you.
