Peppercorn Market Stall Holders T&C's

All stall holders need to read and understand the T's & C's which are listed below, by reading and understanding them we are all covered by our insurance, the venue and the terms of hiring the generator. Once you have read them we expect ALL stall holders to acknowledge them by commenting their name and their stall name. Once you arrive on market day I will expect all stall holders to sign in and again acknowledge you have read and understood the terms and conditions. Terms and Conditions
• Upon arrival stallholders are to make contact with the Peppercorn Market site manager, for site allocation at the front door and signing the Terms and Conditions. The decision on site allocation is final and NO changes will be made on the day.
•All stalls must have pump style hand sanitiser available for public use. Please also use it after handling money.
•If your stall becomes crowded and no longer meets the social distancing rules, please advise people to space out or come back.
• All stallholders must be ready for trading by 9.30am on market day and must remain open from 10am – 3pm. Stallholders MUST not dismantle their stall before 3pm regardless of whether you have sold out.
• All products MUST adhere to Australian Safety Standards. Stallholders must do their own research and the market team will not be held liable, for goods and services not up to standard. If we believe that products do not meet safety standards we have the right to ask you to remove them.
• All stallholders are only authorised to sell products that they have applied for in their application. Should you wish to sell anything else on your stall, you must request via email for permission. Our aim is to ensure that we have a large range and that stallholders are not disadvantaged in any way on the day by stallholders selling things that we already have a quota for.
• All stallholders must supply their own tables/trestles and tablecloths/covers. Tablecloths must touch the floor and be presented straight. Should you wish to have a chair, this must be supplied by the stallholder (if bringing chair/stool it must have rubber feet as to not scratch the floor). It is the expectation that the stallholders will ensure their stalls are presented well and that they keep their displays and signs confined to their allocated stall area. This is a must to ensure all walk ways are clear and safe for customers.
• Promotional material for other events must not be displayed or handed out.
• Payment for your stall at Peppercorn Market must be paid within 14 days of receiving your successful applicant email. Failure to do so will result in your stall being re-allocated. No reminder emails will be sent.
• All electrical equipment, including extension cords and power leads must be tagged and tested by a qualified electrician. Equipment will be checked by the market site manager on the day. Any equipment not meeting these requirements will be refused, NO EXCEPTIONS. No facility will be available on the day for tagging and testing.
• Stallholders are not permitted to sell any goods that are deemed illegal under Australian Law.
• Product and personal security is the responsibility of the stallholder.
• All stall holders are required to ask Peppercorn Market permission to use images, business name and details for Peppercorn Market promotional use.
• Only the Peppercorn Market official poster is to be used for advertising, no other images to be used.
• Any outside market stall holders will provide their own site covering, ie pergola, marquee, tent and all equipment including tables, chairs and extension cords (tagged). These are to be weighed down to minimalise the risk of them moving. No tent spikes or other items that pe*****te the grassed area permitted, you must use weights only to secure your sites.
• Food stallholders must be registered and insured, evidence must be sent in with your stall holder application. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your stall.
• Food stallholders MUST cover all products at all times and use appropriate hygiene procedures, i.e. gloves, food covers etc. as per the food safety standards and regulations of Food Safety- www.health.sa.gov.au/pehs/food-index.htm
• Stallholders are responsible for leaving their stall site and surrounding area clean and tidy as when they arrived. This includes disposing of all rubbish in an appropriate manner. We ask that you do not use the bins around the market as these are for the use of our customers. Please bring appropriate items to store your rubbish ie. bags
• There will be NO refund on your stall if you decide to cancel or do not meet the terms and conditions. All stall places are to be chosen by Peppercorn Market and therefore cannot be sold by you to any other businesses.
• If there are damages to the venue due to negligence of the stallholder, cost will be invoiced and paid by the stallholder. Please ensure that if you are using trestle tables that the capping on the legs of the tables is adequate as this may damage the floor.
• Stallholders have agreed that the terms of Public Liability insurance does not cover product insurance. This is the responsibility of the stall holder. Therefore any loss, theft or damage to items on your stall is your responsibility.
• The stallholder does not hold Peppercorn Market responsible for any loss or damage arising from participating in the market.
• Peppercorn Markets has the right to withdraw any applications or stallholders who do not comply with the terms and conditions or are in dispute with Peppercorn Market or any persons associated with the market.
• Peppercorn Market has the right to add further terms and conditions at any time to improve the Peppercorn Markets in general.
• Donation of goods by each stall holder for the Raffle held at Market is compulsory. Raffle donations are to be given to a member of the market team prior to the market, the only exceptions are stall holders not from Whyalla where we will collect items on the morning of the market.

🎄A difficult announcement from Peppercorn Market regarding our Christmas Market🎄

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Peppercorn Christmas Market, which was planned for Sunday, November 22nd.

With the Whyalla Christmas Pageant and the events that follow taking place the day before, we simply don’t feel we can bring you the Peppercorn Market experience you know and love with everything happening across the weekend. ❤️

We have explored every possible option to change our market date, but unfortunately there isn’t another suitable date available before the end of the year. As much as we would love to squeeze one more market into the calendar, the silly season already has our personal lives pretty booked up.

This decision has not been made lightly. We know how much our Markets means to our wonderful community, and we are truly disappointed that we won’t be able to bring you all together for another festive day of shopping, food, fun and supporting local.

But this isn’t goodbye! 🎄❤️

Peppercorn Market will be back in 2027, and we can’t wait to see you all again for our Mother’s Day Market.

Thank you, as always, for your incredible support, understanding and love for our market. We are so very grateful for this wonderful Whyalla community and the surrounding areas who continues to make Peppercorn Market so special.

See you in 2027, Whyalla! ❤️🎄✨
With love, Kristy, Michelle and Caroline

We always love catching up with our volunteer groups after each market to share in the excitement of what’s been raised. This evening, we visited the juniors from North’s to personally thank them and reveal their incredible result.

We’re so proud to share that Sunday’s market raised an amazing $3,137 for the North Whyalla Junior Football Club. The team was outstanding on the day, and it was fantastic to see so many junior members getting involved—hustling, helping, and selling raffle tickets. There was a sea of black and white working hard and getting the job done!

The Peppercorn Market team sends a huge thank you for all the effort you put in.

And of course, thank you to everyone who attended and supported the market by purchasing raffle tickets. Your ongoing support is what allows us to give back to our volunteer groups in such a meaningful way.

Since launching Peppercorn Market in 2017, together we’ve now raised an incredible $74,808 for the Whyalla community through our volunteer partners.

We can’t wait to see you all again at our Christmas Market on Sunday 22nd November.

Thank you again,
Caroline, Kristy & Michelle

While the dust settles from our Mother’s Day Market on Sunday, we wanted to share a feel-good moment from one of our previous volunteer groups 💛

The Whyalla Wildcats Basketball Club joined us as volunteers at our Christmas market last year. Thanks to their incredible hard work on the day, they’ve been able to purchase new game balls for their teams to use — something the whole club can benefit from.

We absolutely love being able to support the Whyalla community through our markets and volunteer program. It’s always so rewarding to see the different ways these funds make a real impact.

If you think your club or group would make a great volunteer team for our November market, now’s the time to start the conversation so you’re ready when applications open.

We’re looking forward to sharing how much was raised at Sunday’s market later this week when we catch up with the North Whyalla Junior Football Club.

Once again, thank you for the ongoing support you show Peppercorn at each and every market — we couldn’t do it without you ✨

THANK YOU, for coming out and spending the day with us, for supporting small local and regional businesses and supporting North Whyalla Junior Football Club.

The weather gods certainly did us proud today.

A huge thank you to:

- Graham Stephenson for the music

- Shiell Party Hire

- Bunnings (Tayla you are a super star) for the activities for the children. The little ones loved it.
