I love those amazing artists who draw in beautiful clothes with perfect hair, immaculate nails and flawless make-up, looking effortlessly elegant. Their posts and reels are always beautifully put together with a gorgeous aesthetic..sadly, that is not me.

I do not have an elegant bone in my body and I am not tech-savvy enough to do any of it anyway.

However, when I am drawing, I am the comfort queen! I usually look like a feral, little gremlin. Faded track pants, oversized jumper or oodie, hair a mess, and the creative supervisor either begging for food or trying to claw her way on to my lap. I am constantly dropping pencils, whacking my knees and elbows on the table or hitting my head on the light.

Anyhoo, thought I would have a crack at some different skin tones and am actually quite enjoying it.

And the little jar of happiness is finished. I love hyper-realism and am plugging away, working on improving my art until I reach that point. This is from Paco Martín Domínguez Colored Pencil Hyper-realism tutorial book. His art is phenomenal. I would love to one day create the type of realism that he achieves. Although I probably need to master patience first 😳😆.

Just so you don't get too confident in your abilities, along comes a piece that's an epic failure lol. It appears that snakes are not my forte. Everything I could possibly get wrong, I did. It's surprising it didn't turn out worse. Oh well, practice makes perfect. I know what NOT to do next time.

That tin can 🤦🏻‍♀️. I loved working on the limes but that can was a nightmare for me. I have no idea why I found it so hard. I won't let it beat me though, will do a few more pieces and some tutorials and then tackle the can again later.
