We recently met Patricia Clive and her daughter Rebecca at our Nissen Hut Alumni bookshop in Fairy Meadow.. Patricia had heard about the hostel huts and wanted to visit. Her family arrived from England in 1957 and lived at East Hills Hostel. The family included Elsie and Barrington Clive and kids, Raymond, Richard, Patricia and Jacky, Jacky was born here. Patricia was aged 1. She loved living in the hostel. She learnt to swim in Georges River and played in tin boats. She now lives in Coff's Harbour.
