Today I went on a road trip with friends to Wyong to visit Ink and Ivy Bookstore and it was so very worth it. Shelves full of books from indie authors, and some very gorgeous merch & special editions. I treated myself to “The Sharp Edge Of Fate” by TF Johnson and was tempted by SO many others. We will be back!!

Some trivia that I love about ink & ivy: they’re female run, and the store is set up to be accessible to those with disabilities with lots of space between the shelves. The co-owners also both baddies with chronic illnesses. Their business cards are shaped like BOOK MARKS and they’re primarily an indie book store. They also have a children’s section with “blind dates with a book” catered for all ages. They also do events, like this weekend and they’re on the vendor list for “Beyond This World Fantasy Ball” in October. I think they’re pretty amazing and this is just what I learnt on my first visit.

We will be at Books & Beyond this Sunday (April 12th) from 10am to 3pm!

If you are around Ourimbah we can promise you will be in good company with over 30 amazing authors and vendors attending!

Entry for the day is free, with parking and a cafe located onsite.

Our store in Wyong will be closed on Sunday as we will both be at Books & Beyond.

We can’t wait to see you there!

💜1 YEAR OF INK & IVY BOOKSTORE💜

On March 31st 2025 we launched Ink and Ivy as an indie-led online fantasy and romance bookstore. At the time we had 12 Australian indie authors on the shelves of my home office.

We attended local markets, indie signing events and then we started hosting pop-up events at the gorgeous

We loved each and every one of these events but we wanted a permanent set up. We held more pop-ups, marketed hard, talked everyone’s ears off and ran a kickstarter.

Fast forward to December 6th 2025 we opened our physical shop in Wyong. We now have over 60 authors from across the globe (keeping the majority of them Aussies). We have expanded our range from just fantasy and romance, adding thrillers, cosy mysteries, our kids corner and so much more.

We are still blown away by how amazing our local community is and cannot put into words how much we appreciate each and every one of you whether you have followed us some the beginning or just found us it means so much to us to have you along for this journey.

There are still so many things we want to do for our store and our local community so stay tuned…
