Good morning, everyone 👋

There are some big changes ahead, and I’d be so grateful if you could take a moment to read this update.
If you’re seeing this, please leave a little comment to help it reach more of our lovely community ❤️

First, thank you all so much for your kind words and support over the past few months.
Zeke’s surgery went well, and we’re now waiting for scans in September to see how successful it’s been. This chapter has really shifted our family’s perspective and priorities.

As many of you know, Written in our Stars began as a passion project—one that fit around farm life and my spare moments. But with Zeke’s health journey, it’s become clear that working from home is what’s best for our family’s future. So, in turn, this means great things on the horizon, with me being able to spend more of my time on your precious keepsakes.

While I’ve been a little quiet on social media lately, behind the scenes it’s been full steam ahead. I’ve been pouring my heart into developing a new product line that I’m incredibly proud of—and I can’t wait to start sharing sneak peeks with you over the coming months ✨

With that, Written in our Stars will be going through a rebrand and transformation in the near future.
We’ll be shifting our focus and officially launching under a new name:

Baby & Beyond Bears 🐻

This change represents a new chapter, and I truly hope you’ll continue this journey with me. Your support and encouragement mean the world.

Hi all,

We are currently taking a short break due to Zeke requiring surgery.
For those new followers a little run down on the situation (and for long time followers an update 😊)
Zeke is my 8 year old son.
Zeke was born with cancer (a solid tumour know as PNET which presented on his throat)
After being in remission 3 months at the age of 1, we got the devastating news that Zeke's cancer was back and this time it was present in his brain.
After extensive treatment and surgery Zeke is doing well and has now been in remission 6 years.

Zeke's last annual scans in January showed pooling of cerebral fluid in his spinal column caused by a build up of scar tissue culminating around his original brain surgery site.

Due to the risks of this causing damage such as paralysis he is requiring a surgical procedure to re-enter the skull and clear the built up scar tissue.

If all goes well we will be back up and running end of June/early July.
I will aim to update everyone on progress.

We are moving 🚚

The Written in our Stars studio will be moving back to Yanchep for the time being! Local pick up will be available from Yanchep over the next couple of days.

The reason we are moving:
Zeke, our youngest, had his most recent scans, which showed he is still in remission (yay) 🎉
But the scan also detected multiple spinal syrinx (fluid in his spinal column) so the kids and I are moving back from the farm I order to be closer to hospital, under advisement of our medical team.

I will be taking orders as normal but may need to close for a short period of time if Zeke requires surgery to correct this new medical hurdle ❤️
