Keeping a bricks-and-mortar clothing store thriving is no easy task, but for Yarram business owner Karen Mathewson, it is a genuine labour of love.
Karen worked alongside her sister, Lynnette, at the former Davis Manor store at 200 Commercial Road for several years before taking over the business in 2025 and rebranding to Ninety Mile Country Store.
Since then, she has worked hard to put her own stamp on this much-loved local store, offering women’s, men’s and children’s fashion, workwear, footwear and accessories.
Karen is committed to providing quality clothing at affordable prices, but it is her friendly, personalised service that keeps locals and visitors coming back.
At a time when online shopping and rising costs are forcing many regional retailers to close their doors, Yarram is fortunate to have a passionate small business owner like Karen investing in the town and serving her community.
