You guys need to get your noses on Zoologist fragrances. I just bought a full bottle of Zoologist Bat (unbelievable fragrance) and can I just say how much I love these photo promotions that Zoologist made. The frags themselves define niche perfumery and are utterly spellbindingly unique (and great performers also). They realistically smell like the animal in question + the food it eats + its habitat. For example "Bat" smells like wet earth in a cave, along with tropical fruits and banana, and the furry musk of a bat. "Dodo" smells like litchi (which is what dodos would have eaten I suppose), green fougere notes representing the forest it lives in, and an animalic musk note. "Dragonfly" has a very natural and realistic rice note + lotus flower + rainy notes. And so on. One of the best niche houses period, that goes toe to toe with Xerjoff or any other high-end brand.

What is a perfume decant?

Perfume decant is a small sized bottle or vial in which the perfumes are being kept from the original perfume full sized bottle. It is not a manufacturer's bottle nor a factory sealed bottle. Usually decant bottles come in 1.5ml, 2ml, 5ml, 10ml etc.

Benefits of perfume decant bottles are -

1. Trying it out before buying one: perfume reacts differently on the different skin. So it is always a good idea to test it out before buying one blindly.

2. Testing a perfume in a shop is cumbersome as well as not being able to know the longevity and apart from that one person cannot detect or enjoy the dry down of a perfume while testing a perfume. So using a perfume on your skin is always advised and a decant bottle will help you out in this regard.

3. One can enjoy his/her desired, holy grail, dream, expensive, niche perfumes without breaking the bank.
