USMC P-56 Utility Shirt (1950ā1964)
A true icon of post-war military history.
Introduced in 1950-the P-56 Utility Shirt marked the U.S. Marine Corpsā transition from WWII-era herringbone twill uniforms to the more durable OG-107 cotton sateen fabric. Designed for field use, it featured a concealed button front, dual chest pockets, and the distinctive āUSMCā stencil with the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem.
Worn by Marines during the late 1950s and the early years of the Vietnam War, the P-56 bridged two generations of military uniforms.
