বাংলাদেশ ইলেকট্রনিক নিকোটিন ডেলিভারি সিস্টেম ট্রেডার্স অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্ক ও তরুণপ্রজন্মকে তামাক ও নিকোটিনজাত পণ্যের ক্ষতিকর প্রভাব থেকে সুরক্ষিত রাখতে মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর নির্দেশনার প্রতি পূর্ণ সমর্থন ও শ্রদ্ধা জ্ঞাপন করছে।

আমরা বিশ্বাস করি, অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্ক ও তরুণপ্রজন্মকে নিকোটিন পণ্য ব্যবহার থেকে সুরক্ষিত রাখা একটি জাতীয় অগ্রাধিকার। এ লক্ষ্যে বিক্রয়স্থলে বয়স যাচাই ব্যবস্থা, অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের নিকট বিক্রয়ের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর আইন প্রয়োগ অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

ইলেকট্রনিক নিকোটিন ডেলিভারি সিস্টেম (ENDS) কখনোই তরুণপ্রজন্ম, অধূমপায়ী বা নতুন ব্যবহারকারীদের জন্য নয়। আন্তর্জাতিক বৈজ্ঞানিক গবেষণার ক্রমবর্ধমান প্রমাণ অনুযায়ী, ENDS প্রচলিত প্রাণঘাতী দাহ্য সিগারেটের তুলনায় উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে কম ক্ষতিকর এবং এটি মূলত বিদ্যমান প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক ধূমপায়ীদের জন্য একটি ক্ষতি-হ্রাসমূলক (Harm Reduction) বিকল্প।

আমাদের উদ্দেশ্য সুস্পষ্ট, নতুন নিকোটিন ব্যবহারকারী তৈরি করা নয়; বরং বিদ্যমান প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক ধূমপায়ীদের প্রাণঘাতী দাহ্য সিগারেট পরিহারে সহায়তা করা।

তরুণপ্রজন্মের সুরক্ষায় কোনো আপস নয়।
