Lalkuthi, formally known as Northbrook Hall, is a historic red-brick building in Farashgonj, Old Dhaka, near Sadarghat. Built in 1874–1879, it was named after Lord Northbrook, the Viceroy of India, and served as a social and cultural center for elite meetings, performances, and the Johnson Hall library. It is renowned for its Mughal-European architectural blend.
